"I will be forever transformed from my delegation experience as will my contribution to the ongoing movement for freedom"

-Ebony Sinnamon Johnson, Advocate for Black Youth

The Solidarity Collective's work is rooted in the life stories of real people - not politicians or public relations experts. Our delegations privilege the voices of Indigenous, Afro-descendant and Campesino leaders not often provided a platform in U.S. media outlets.

We work with grassroots activists and community organizations dedicated to pursuing justice in Latin America. Our accountability begins with these partners.

The Solidarity Collective delegates seek to change U.S. policies and work for justice in our own communities. Therefore, we are accountable to disenfranchised communities in the U.S.  and the movements for justice of which we are part.

Our people-centered justice framework values collective liberation and a more equitable global society.

Transformative work begins with each of us. Our understandings of ourselves, our histories, our privileges, and the intersections of our identities create a greater perception of how we see ourselves, how we see each other, and how we see the world.

The Solidarity Collective’s popular education curriculum directs each delegate towards community justice and advocacy work that appends to Collective Liberation - the idea that liberation for one is liberation for all and the oppression of one is the oppression of all.

Our delegations honor the call by Latin American Civil Society for an end to U.S.-led militarism and extraction. We affirm the political self-determination of all Latin American and Indigenous Peoples, including the right to resist injustice through collective struggle.

The Solidarity Collective actively promotes civil, political and human rights for all people. Therefore, we honor and support social movements across the Americas, and beyond.
